SPRA is part of the Provincially designated Sports Zone 5 and participates within the Black Gold League (BGL).
BGL represents and schedules games for the Ringette Associations of Central and Northern Alberta; encompassing Zone 4, 5, 6, 7, and Zone 8.
BGL is responsible for scheduling all competitive games (16 per season) which is divided into 2 sessions.
Session 1 - October to November, 6 games/team
Session 2 - November to February, 10 games/team
Typically there are an equal number of home/away games and travel to different cities/towns is required.
